A heinous attack at a Moscow concert shock the world

By Our Reporter

Russia is still reeling from Friday’s attack by gunmen who killed 137 persons and stabbed scores of others before setting fire to the Crocus City concert hall outside Moscow.

It was the worst terrorist attack in Russia in over a decade, which occurred less than a week after President Vladimir Putin claimed a landslide victory.

Among those killed three were children and more than 180 are still said to be in hospital.

The Islamic State group, also known as ISIS, has claimed the attack and released graphic footage purporting to show the incident. The footage suggests the perpetrators had a direct link to ISIS to be able to send the video.

The attack drew condemnation from world leaders. Nepal also slammed the terrorist attack by issuing a statement through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Surprisingly, the attack occurred hours after the USA issued a warning advising its citizens in the USA to avoid crowded areas.

The Russian government arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in the massacre and all four suspects are reportedly from Tajikistan, a former Soviet republic.

A court statement said the men — identified as Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, 32; Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, 30; Shamsidin Fariduni, 25; and Mukhammadsobir Faizov, 19 — all pled guilty to participating in the attack and shooting innocent civilians.
