The Baluatar camp has been alarmed over the impending Supreme Court decision on the writ petition seeking the reinstatement of the dissolved lower house of parliament ever since the single bench of Chief Justice Bishwanath Upadhaya issued a show cause notice to the Koirala government.
After having the government suffered a string of humiliating defeats in the Supreme Court in its three years, the Koirala government appears gripped with a fear psychosis of again being defeated. Sources close to
Baluatar have said on condition of anonymity that the Koirala camp in its desperation has started approaching the chief justice’s close and trusted people in order to get a peek into the mind of the highest judge’s mind on the disputed constitutional issue and to try indirect means to influence the court’s decision.
