
Kathmandu, April 21: In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, Nepal imported 1.674 million smartphones. According to data published by the Department of Customs on April 20, a total of 1,674,249 units entered the country.
These imports led to an outflow of Rs 33.82 billion in foreign currency. At the same time, the government collected Rs 6.30 billion in revenue from smartphone imports.
