Chinese drones being used to deliver relief materials to flood victims

Kathmandu, September 5: A drone to be used for delivering relief supplies to flood-affected areas has been tested and put into operation in Trishuli.

The Chinese government has provided Nepal with four drones to transport food and other relief supplies to flood-affected areas.

According to Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun, the drones have a maximum payload capacity of 100 kilograms.

The drones, which can carry around 75 to 80 kilograms of relief supplies on a single flight, will now be deployed in flood-affected areas, including Rasuwa.

The drones are expected to be effective in delivering relief supplies to areas where roads have been damaged by floods and where access by helicopter is also difficult.
