South Korean Foreign Minister arriving today

Kathmandu, September 5: South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun is arriving in Nepal today.

He is scheduled to visit Nepal to assess the impact of the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa and to learn about the situation of South Korean citizens working on various projects in the area.

Hyun will stay in Nepal for three days. During his visit, he is scheduled to receive a briefing on the rescue of those stranded by the floods, meet with the families of South Korean nationals, and hold discussions with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.

Earlier, a South Korean technical team had also arrived in Nepal to assist in rescue efforts following the Rasuwa floods. The Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower project was being constructed under a contract awarded to a South Korean company.
