Kathmandu, 3 March: The CPN-Maxist Leninsit said that the Indian Government’s proposal to open a Buddhist college in Mustang should not be accepted. The General Secretary of the party, CP Mainali, issuing a statement today said that the Government of India has sought permission from the Government of Nepal to open a ‘Mustang Buddhist College’ in Falyak area of Nepali territory, is an issue of grave concern.
“It can be clearly understood that various powers under the Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS)want to meet their ends by doing things in pretext to help the so-called ‘Free Tibet’ campaign from Nepali land to drag China into conflict. Nepali people who are aware of the importance of geopolitics can easily understand the fact that the opening of Mustang Buddhist College, with the stated purpose in the northern sensitive area of Nepal, which is bordered with China, will disturb the security interests of China,” said Mainali.
Leader Mainali has also said that it is the primary duty of the Government of Nepal to be aware of such actions that can jeopardize the good neighborly relations between Nepal and China and undermine the previously announced longstanding national policy of not allowing the use of Nepali land against the neighboring countries.
