Quiet surveys on the poll prospects of the Nepali Congress have sent shock waves down the spine of even the once hyper-confident section of the ruling party. Even Baluwater is reported to be nursing second thoughts about early elections contrary to the intensity with which it had recommended the November general elections.
According to a reliable source, Baluwater would receive any successful move to defer the elections as a “blessing in disguise.”
The sharp U-tern in the poll-related outlook is because several sources have indicated less than majority seats for the Congress at the kingdom’s second House of Representatives.
