Petroleum price increases

Kathmandu, March 16: The Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products. Citing rising prices in the international market due to the war in the West Asia and the growing outstanding payment it has to make to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the corporation raised fuel prices effective from midnight on Sunday.

According to the new price list published by the corporation, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 15 per litre, while diesel and kerosene have been raised by Rs 10 per litre. In the third category, which includes Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, the retail price of petrol has reached Rs 172 per litre, while diesel and kerosene are priced at Rs 152 per litre.

Similarly, in the second category, which includes Surkhet and Dang, petrol is priced at Rs 171 per litre and diesel at Rs 151 per litre.
