
Kathmandu, March 27: A helicopter with registration number Nine-N-ANO operated by Mustang Air, which took off from Kathmandu to Lapcha in Dolakha at around 10:25 AM today, has gone out of contact. According to a deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority, the helicopter lost contact just a few minutes after landing in Lapcha and taking off again.
According to preliminary information, a total of five people, including Captain Suraj Thapa Chhetri, were on board. Communication with the helicopter was lost shortly after the flight began, and its status has not yet been officially confirmed.
Relevant authorities are preparing to begin search and rescue operations. It is suspected that the helicopter went missing in Lapcha, Dolakha. Heavy rainfall in and around Dolakha is making it difficult to reach the possible area.
