Preoccupation with the disaster relief in the country appears to have set aside for the moment the politics of pressures which has been typical of the past months.
The relief measures and Kathmandu scarcities, however, have provided new grist for the opposition.
Kathmandu consumers have been disappointed by the utter lack of control of government over pricing and supply and government over pricing and supply and the population at large have been exposed to the force of government otherwise.
The subject of relief, the flood-hit people of the central Terai appear to have already demonstrated their dissatisfaction in course of the tour of the Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala of the flood-hit areas.
