
Kathmandu, May 18: Distinguished foreign guests participating in the international ‘Sagarmatha Sambad’ being held in Nepal took mountain flight this morning for an aerial view of the major snow ranges including Mount Sagarmatha (Everest).
This mountain flight program for the distinguished foreign delegates was led by Minister for Forests and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi. The program was jointly coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepal Tourism Board.
During the one-hour mountain flight, the guests observed the breathtaking views of several peaks up close, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Gaurishankar.
According to Deepakraj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, the guests of the ‘Sagarmatha Dialogue’ were taken on this mountain flight with the aim of promoting adventure tourism.
Focusing on the theme ‘Climate Change, the Himalayas, and the Future of Humanity,’ this Sagarmatha Dialogue has seen the participation of over 350 distinguished individuals from various countries, including Nepal.
Some private airlines in Nepal regularly operate mountain flights, which took off from Tribhuvan International Airport around 7 in the morning.
In this one-hour flight, one can observe more than a dozen mountain peaks, including the world’s highest peak, Mount Sagarmatha.
