Parties may draft a mandate for a parliamentary probe committee on cooperative fraud

Kathmandu, May 25: The meeting of the major political parties in the alliance government and also the main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluatar, have tentatively agreed to develop a ToR and mandate for the parliamentary probe committee. 

Sources claim that leaders agreed to constitute a parliamentary probe committee on cooperatives fraud without naming DPM and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane. 

Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal had called a meeting on Friday, May 24, by inviting the opposition party Nepali Congressto end house obstruction. 

Finally, it is said that the main opposition party, Nepali Congress became flexible on the name of DPM and Home Minister Lamichhane. 

If the NC will agree on the formation of a parliamentary probe committee, the House meeting called for Sunday, May 26, will take place and the government policies and programs can also be passed from the floor. Moreover, the government can present the budget for the new fiscal year on May 28.
