BABBLES

Our Prime Minister visited New York in the USA and attended the UN General Assembly. He had the opportunity to shake hands with leaders from different countries. He had a “photo opportunity” with US President Joe Biden. From New York, PM left for Hangzhou for a week-long visit to China. He met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou, Premier Li Qiang in Beijing, and many senior Chinese leaders during his stay in China.
His daughter Ganga Dahal was seen in the bilateral talks with President Xi along with the Nepali official team. President Xi’s spouse, who appeared during a photo session, was not seen in the formal bilateral talks; PM Dahal’s daughter was present there. This is a serious violation of diplomatic norms.
When PM Dahal was shaking hands with the supreme leaders, he didn’t put on the coat bottom, which is against diplomatic norms.
The foreign secretary and the chief of protocol are also included in the visit. The chief of protocol must be informed about such dress codes and diplomatic norms. These acts reflect the state of Nepal’s foreign policy in Laktantra.
Punishment against the verdict
Kathmandu District Court’s judge, Prem Prasad Neupane, who gave the verdict for keeping under the judiciary arrest NC’s top-ranking leader, Balkrihsna Khand, on the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal, has been transferred to a remote district.
Perhaps he was not influenced by the political pressure or he didn’t respond to the order given by NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba, therefore, he got transferred from Kathmandu.
Minister for Law and Justice, Dhanraj Gurung’s secretariat, has so far, given a clarification stating that there was no hand of the Minister on the transfer of the Kathmandu Court’s judge; it is difficult to believe him.
Meanwhile, the judicial council has appointed those who failed the written examination conducted by the Public Service Commission. When an examination was conducted, only one candidate had successfully passed out and others failed. Later, by discarding the Public Service Commission’s examination, 29 district judges were appointed without any examination. Out of them, 50 percent of those who failed the examination also got the appointment.
Minister Gurung has taken such an issue as normal.
Such things can happen only in this loot-tantra.
Trudeau’s disclosure
Returning from New Delhi after attending the G-20 summit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Pierre James Trudeau blamed India for the murder of a Canadian Sikh citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijar on Canadian soil. Tension has escalated between India and Canada since Trudeau blamed India for the murder of a Canadian citizen.
It is not odd for Nepal, as the Nepalis have bitter experiences with such killings of Nepali nationals by Indian criminals.
When India remained silent on the killing of the Canadian citizen, the Canadian PM was compelled to make public this issue. In fact, “Five Eyes,” a joint intelligence grouping of five English-speaking countries, including the USA and the UK, is learnt to have confirmed the involvement of India in this murder.
Maybe, Trudeau has seen the real face of India.
Comparison of equality between India and China
Listening to the Independence Day speech by India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, one will be compelled to believe that India has done tremendous development in all sectors, becoming the country with the largest population.
Upon viewing the chart of medalists in the Asian Games, one will realize the actual position of India.
Until Tuesday afternoon, the medals table was:
- China 70
- Republic of Korea 30
- Japan 21
- Uzbekistan 15
India is seen in the sixth row below Hong Kong with 13 medals.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
(Commenting on the crowd that appeared to greet King Gyanendra in Bhaktapur):
Now, for at least 1 month, the republican leaders who are currently in the middle of the day have an agenda to make a speech that the “republic” is in danger! What a weak republic in Nepal!
Laxman Ghimire
If we don’t think about how to save the country and if Nepalis don’t become united and strong, even God cannot save us. Death is obvious, but dying every moment and not experiencing it is a burden to the earth. Such people cannot be called human.
Madan Regmi
Is this offensiveness or a multi-sector downfall?
Appointment of the judge immediately after he fails in the examination; pardon to the criminal by the government; sending Kalapani to the judge who gives verdict against the government’s wish; extending the tenure of a political Army by violating the law; foreign junket for 15 days by adjourning the House; communal conflict in Dharan, Malangawa, and Birgunj; the country, which is going abroad!
Tika P. Dhakal
The current constitution could be a ‘great achievement’ for the rulers, but for the commoners, it has become a trap. Conscious Nepalis have always questioned its legitimacy – even though claimed for legal ‘legitimacy’, it has not got political ‘legitimacy’.
Dhrubahari Adhikari
I also agree that the Constitution has become useless.
JP Gupta
This country cannot get relief without substituting imports of petroleum products worth three trillion rupees. Consumption of electricity in operating transportation and cooking is essential for this.
