Pushpakamal Dahal’s brain and heart

BABBLES

By Babbler

Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal said that sometimes, his brain works and sometimes, his heart does. When his heart becomes active, he becomes sentimental and emotional. He said that his family friend Preetam Singh had gone to Delhi several times to reward Dahal with the PM’s post. PM Dahal also revealed that he spoke about Preetam Singh when his heart was active.

Interestingly, when his heart becomes active, he speaks the truth!

More interestingly, expressing satisfaction with PM Dahal’s clarification, the UML had allowed to run the House meeting which was obstructed for about a week!

Loans to pay back previous loans

The government is taking domestic as well as foreign loans just to pay back the previous loan instalments. There is a saying that the size of the throat should be checked before swallowing a bone.

Simply, we should set our expenditures based on our revenue. This year, the government revenue was below the target of 4 trillion rupees. The government is unable to reduce the non-productive sector expenditure that has inclined after the introduction of federalism, secularism and republicanism as it has to feed an additional 36 thousand people’s representatives by paying monthly salaries, allowances and other facilities.

Indeed, this system is for managing the political workers and flourishing.

Lessons to learn

The Central Investigation Bureau under the Nepal Police has done a commendable job by investigating the Lalita Niwas land grab scam.

Just recently, the fake Bhutanese refugee scam was also exposed by the CIB. These two are the big scam planned through the involvement of the political leadership and high-ranking government officials.

However, the Police seem liberal in interrogating high-profile political leaders in both cases.

Bureaucracy is considered the permanent government. When the bureaucracy moves towards the wrong track, mal-governance cannot be controlled, but if the bureaucracy alerts the political leaders and denies doing illegal and anti-national works, a maximum number of cases related to corruption, irregularity, anti-law and anti-nation decisions can be curbed. The political leadership cannot act alone.

Since 1990 political change, specially after Girija Prasad Koirala became the prime minister, corruption was introduced in an organized manner. Many scams took place and they were never investigated under political protection. The bureaucracy felt that they can escape under political protection and started to obey for doing illegal work, as a result, most government officials have become the victim today. Madhab Nepal or Baburam Bhattarai are acting as if they are above the law.

Perhaps, the bureaucrats of the day will learn the lesson now.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

What did the Prime Minister say? Didn’t he say that he was elected by the House of Representatives? According to him, Delhi is buying and selling all the Parliament members! If not, how does Delhi make a prime minister in Nepal? Why is this parliament indolent even though there is so much disgrace to the people of Nepal?

There is no civil war or great unrest, no pestilence or famine. Even though, 3% of the country’s population is leaving the country every year. Is this data not enough to understand that Nepal is becoming a failed nation?

Sharad Raj Pathak

Nepal has become a failed nation. It is in the ICU and on a ventilator. Because of foreigners’ selfishness and money, it is considered alive, otherwise, if foreigners’ interests are not served, the country can be declared dead at any time. Such a level of foreign conspiracy is taking place against us.

Farms are barren, and factories are closed. There is no production. The nation is solely dependent on imports. The payment is made with the money sent from the Gulf by Nepali youths risking their lives. If remittance money does not come, there will be not enough food to eat.

We were saying that the country is becoming a failed state, now, The Economist also said it.

Who will rescue us from this chaos in the country? One reality is that another Jung Bahadur should come to rescue the country.

Now I am starting to scare.

Those who have passed 12th grade, are in a rush to go abroad, moreover, those, who are in a good job here, are also in a rush to go abroad.

The family also putting pressure on their daughters to go abroad.

What is going to happen?

Now world famous The Economist also said it.

I have repeatedly said that Nepal has become a ‘fragile nation’. Now, when one of the institutions of the Nepal Army falls into the quagmire of dirty politics like the judiciary and other institutions, many people see it as ‘fear-mongering’ when writing/saying that Nepal will be a ‘failed state’.

World famous The Economist has portrayed Nepal as a fragile or failing state.

The overall situation in Nepal has deteriorated a lot. It is headed towards a ‘failed state’. Once it’s done — it’s hard to handle. What follows is dire.

Let’s give up our egos right now. Let everyone forgive everyone’s past mistakes. “Let’s reach a ‘new understanding’ between the king, political parties and the people by making the necessary reforms and amendments to the 1990 constitution.”

Let’s not say everything is okay. Those who are saying everything is okay, they and their kids are not going to stay in this country.

Delhi Darbar was erected by demolishing the Narayanhiti Darwar.

Narayanhiti Palace was demolished and Brussels Palace was erected.

Narayanhiti Palace was demolished and Beijing Palace was erected.

The Prime Minister, President, Ministers, Secretaries, Ambassadors, IGPs, all are appointed from abroad and the legal actions are taking place from abroad.

Bikalpa Adhikari

Nepali people are doomed to be ruled by what kind of prime minister? Who admits that he is from Delhi. After handing over the leadership of the country to such a leader, will the country be safe? He is the one who talked about the government!

Lokesh Dhakal

I strongly condemn attempts for establishing universities in the name of any leader. The taxpayer’s money should not be misused. If needed, the family members of those deceased leaders should establish such universities by spending their private property.
