Nuwakot, Sept 4: Two people trapped inside the tunnel of the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project have been rescued alive.
According to Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shriram Neupane, Sanjay Sah and Kabir Maharjan were rescued alive from inside the tunnel.
Earlier, there had been two-way communication between the rescue team and those trapped inside the tunnel. The rescue team called out to the trapped individuals, reassuring them, “Don’t panic, we are rescuing you,” to which they received a clear response from inside: “Okay.”
According to lawmaker Shriram Neupane, teams from the Nepal Army and Armed Police Force are continuing efforts to rescue the others trapped inside the tunnel.
