Ex-APF Association felicitates Mt Sagarmatha climber Poudel

Kathmandu, June 6: The Association of Ex-Armed Police Force has felicitated Mount Sagarmatha (Everest) climber inspector Suraj Poudel amidst a function today.

Inspector Poudel scaled Mt Sagarmatha at 10.20 am on May 20 and hoisted Nepal’s national flag and also the flag of the APF on top of Mt Sagarmatha, the world’s highest summit.

Addressing the function, IGP of the APF, Raju Aryal, said that the success in climbing Mt Sagarmatha by the APF officer has inspired the entire force to maintain and monitor tasks of border security in high-altitude areas.

Chairman of the Ex-APF Association, AIG Rabiraj Thapa (retired), extending congratulations to inspector Poudel, said that the APF has established a historical record by successfully climbing Mt Sagarmatha.

Capable leadership in the APF has made it possible to achieve success, Thapa said.
