Kathmandu, February 17: A group of Nepali Congress leaders led by NC central committee member Shankar Bhandari is scheduled to announce a mega campaign for the restoration of Nepal as a Sanatan Hindu nation today.
The Mega Campaign Committee has been formed under the convenorship of NC leader Bhandari.
The coordinator and spokesperson of the mega campaign Lokesh Dhakal informed that the announcement of the mega campaign is going to be made at 12 noon at the Thapagaun Banquet in Baneshwar, Kathmandu.
22 NC leaders, including Shankar Bhandari, have registered a proposal in the party stating that the party should stand for a Sanatan Hindu nation.
The group of 22 has handed over a written demand to NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to endorse the proposal from the scheduled Mahasamait meeting.
