Some of the burning issues facing the present government remain unsolved due mainly to the partisan attitude taken by the political parties represented in parliament.

Be it the controversial Tanakpur or Bhutan or the Arun III issues, the main political parties seem more intent on hurling abuses against each other than coming to an understanding on such vital issues and then moulding public opinion to form a national consensus. For national consensus does not mean the agreement between political parties.
