Six Indian tourists missing in Dolpa

Kathmandu, November 1: Six Indian tourists, including two women, who had set out to visit Shey Phoksundo Lake in Dolpa district, have gone missing due to heavy snowfall. Local residents informed the police that the tourists had lost contact in the Num La Pass and Bagala Pass areas of Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality.

The tourists, who had come to Nepal for a visit, went missing while travelling to Phoksundo Lake in Rigmo, Ward No. 8 of Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality.

Snowfall occurred in the high-altitude areas of Dolpa since Saturday. Continuous snowfall and adverse weather conditions have disrupted daily life and transportation. Police said that the adverse weather and heavy snowfall have made it difficult to search for the missing tourists.
