
Kathmandu, February 20: The District Administration Office in Parsa District has imposed a curfew in some areas of the Birgunj Municipality.
The Administration imposed a curfew at 5 pm on Monday, which continues today.
A curfew order has been imposed from Nagwa Chowk in the East, Tilawa Chowk in the West, Parwanipur in the North and Nepal-India Friendship Bridge in the South for an indefinite period.
A demonstration was conducted in Birgunj on the issue of conflict between the two communities in the Ishanath Municipality in Rautahat.
The government has also imposed a curfew in Ishanath Municipality in the Rautahat district.
On the issue of Saraswati Pooja and conducting the concluding ceremony of the pooja, the Hindu and Muslim communities clashed against each other in Rautahat.
