Kathmandu, February 19: The Nepali Congress Mahasamiti meeting (general assembly) has started in Godawari, Lalitpur. President Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the Mahasamiti meeting at the convention center in Godavari, Lalitpur.
There are around 22 hundred Mahasamiti members, including the chiefs of the district presidents of the NC, from all over the country, participating in the meeting. The meeting will continue from today to February 22.
“Political stability, transformation and innovation; independence, justice and equality” is the main slogan of the Mahasamiti meeting. In the meeting, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka’s policy and program; General Secretary Gagan Thapa’s organizational report; and another General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma’s report on contemporary politics will be presented.
Finance Minister and Party Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Saran Mahat will present a report on Nepal’s current economic situation, prospects and future direction, and Shyam Ghimire, the coordinator of the audit committee, will present the audit report.
