UML demands dismissing of Transport Minister Jwala

Kathmandu, February 18: The main opposition party, CPN-UML has demanded the dismissal of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala, who was found guilty in the Balkumari incident. Immediately after the start of the House of Representatives meeting, UML’s whip Mahesh Bertaula demanded the dismissal of Minister Jwala as he was found guilty in the Balkumari incident according to the report submitted by the investigation committee formed by the government.

He said that since the minister himself did not resign, he should be sacked and the home minister was also found involved in this incident.

Whip Bertaula accused the government of taking action against the police who were found guilty by the investigation committee in the fight between the police and immigration staff at the airport while protecting the minister who was found guilty of the Balkumari incident, as if it was “lawful to the small and free to the big”.
