Kathmandu, February 15: The Maoist Center cadres have not become ready to change the name of the party and election symbol shortly.
Prime Minister and chair of the Center, Pushpakamal Dahal, responding to the voice of the participants of the statute conference of the party, said that the party’s name and election symbol will not be changed in the near future, however, the issue will be kept under consideration of the party in future.
Dahal said that party leaders from the urban areas were of the view of changing the name of the party as it has become difficult to expand the party organization in the urban areas, the issue of changing the name can be discussed at the time of unification with other political parties.
