Former King, Queen visit Devghat

Kathmandu, February 15: Former King Gyanendra Shah and former Queen Komal Shah, who are currently on a visit to Chitwan for several days, reached Devghat on Wednesday afternoon. Former King Shah along with his family members, visited Devghat Dham, the confluence of Kaligandaki and Trishuli rivers.

The Royal couple reached the Kaligandaki River by boat. Nine girls recited Swasti while welcoming him.

Vice-chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Bikram Pandey, had arranged Shah’s visit to Devghat. The Royal couple arrived in Chitwan on February 11, and have been staying at the Soaltee Hotel in Patihani. He visited Sauraha on Tuesday.

The King is scheduled to spend eight days in Patihani.  During his stay in Chitwan, he is scheduled to visit Chitwan National Park, take a boat ride in the Rapti River and observe various cultural programs.

Former King Shah is also preparing to celebrate the birthday of former Queen Komal in Patihani on February 19.
