Kathmandu, February 15: The Special Court has convicted 12 individuals, including Kaladhar Deuja, an employee of the Malport Office Dillibazar, who transferred the land of Lalita Niwas in Baluwatar in the name of individuals.
The bench of the judges of the special court, Khushi Prasad Tharu, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Ritendra Thapa, gave the verdict, finding them guilty in the Lalita Niwas land scam.
Surendraman Kapali, Yukt Prasad Shrestha, and Jagat Prasad Pudasaini, are among the others, to be found guilty.
Similarly, Ramkumar Subedi and Sobhakant Dhakal, who played a role in bringing the land in the name of individuals, have also been found guilty.
The Special Court also convicted Suwarna Shamser’s family.
The Commission for Investigation on Abuse of Authority had filed a case against 110 persons demanding confiscation of land and legal punishment.
