
Kathmandu, February 12: Yegyaprasad Acharya, the judge in the Kathmandu District Court, who had given a release order to Arun Chaudhary and two others, arrested by the Special Bureau of Investigation (SBI) under the Nepal Police on the charge of grabbing land belonging to the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, has been transferred Mugu District.
Judge Acharya’s decision drew controversy on the issue of justice, hence, Chief Justice Bishwambar Prasad Shrestha, as punishment, has transferred Judge Acharya, reports state.
Chaudhary and two others were alleged to have grabbed public property and have been released on bail following the Court order even though the CIB was investigating the scam.
