Kathmandu, February 9: Chinese Ambassador Chen Song has wished for peace and prosperity of China and Nepal on the occasion of the Chinese New Year 2024. He stated it on his social network X on Friday, “I wish the people of China and Nepal a happy and prosperous year of the dragon!”
The Chinese Embassy is celebrating a cultural festival in Nepal by organizing various programs on the occasion of the Chinese New Year 2024. In the same vein, the New Year was celebrated by lighting the lamp in Ratnapark on February 7.
The chief guest of the program was Tourism Minister Sudan Kirati. Chinese artists performed musical programs at the event. On the occasion of the new year, the Embassy has said that lamp lighting and various programs will continue in Ratnapark until February 21.
Meanwhile, the Embassy, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and other organisations, is organising the Chinese New Year Parade at Durwarmarga on Saturday, February 10, from 10 am to 12 noon.
