Some recent “controversial appointments” taken by coalition government have caused serious conflict within the government. Dissatisfaction of many ministry officers has also begun to come openly in the past few days.
Those controversies have started as Vinod Bista son of former Prime Minister Kirtinidhi Biista, was appointed as a permanent deputy representative of Nepal to the United Nation (UN).
Vinod Bista, who had also been to the UN during the Marich Man Singh’s government, was appointed to that post by the foreign minister Prakash Chandra Lohani. Bista also got his tenure extended during Girija Prasad Koirala government for two years. Later the UML government backed him out.
