Nepalese are “anti-Indian” a team to visiting Indian journalists is convinced. And for that they blame none other than Nepalese politicians whom they believe give expression to anti-Indian slogans in order to garner votes.
Such was the thrust of comments made by Mahendra Khanna, Manmohaan Sharma and Akchya Swami, currently on a visit here under a B.P Memorial Trust programme, while interacting on 26 July with their Nepalese counterparts at Editors’ Society. They, however, acknowledged that there had been an improvement in relations between the citizens of the two countries despite the anti-Indian mentality of political parties and several weeklies.
