
Parsa, April 25: The government collected Rs 60.38 billion in revenue from petroleum imports during the first nine months of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, revenue stood at Rs 57.53 billion.
According to Uday Singh Bista, information officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, petroleum products worth Rs 148.16 billion were imported through the Birgunj border point during this period, generating the revenue for the state.
Imports included 808,745 kiloliters of diesel, 359,846 kiloliters of petrol, and 224,875,266 kilograms of LPG, among other petroleum products.
