Parties in alliance government share the ambassadorial posts

 

Kathmandu, June 21: Political parties in the alliance government agreed to share the ambassadorial posts. At a meeting among Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal, UML chair K.P. Sharma Oli and Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Ravi Lamichhane, held on Thursday at PM’s Office in Singha Durwar, they agreed to share the vacant ambassadorial posts.

Under the agreement, the UML will get eight ambassadorial posts, the RSP will get two, and the Maoist Center will get one ambassadorial post.

Other parties in the alliance government have not been included in the sharing of the ambassadorial posts.

The government recently recalled 11 ambassadors politically assigned by the previous coalition government.
