Kathmandu, May 19: The meeting of the National Assembly is taking place today. The meeting will be held at 1:15 pm at the Parliament House, New Baneshwor.
National Assembly Chair Narayan Dahal will brief the meeting about the letter received from the Office of the President regarding the appointment and tenure of ministers and ministers of state. The chairman will nominate the names of the members to the thematic committee.
The NA chairman is scheduled to present a vote of thanks for the President’s address to the joint sitting of both houses of the federal parliament.
Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri will present an ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to investment facilitation, 2081 BS.
Minister for Communications Rekha Sharma will present the Media Council Bill and President of the Legislation Management Committee Jayanti Rai will present the report on safe transactions in the meeting.
