Kathmandu, March 12: The National Assembly members are going to vote for their chairman today. The meeting of the National Assembly taking place today at 11 am will elect its chairman.
From the coalition partners in the government, Narayan Dahal, cousin of Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal is the candidate, whereas, from the Nepali Congress, Yubraj Sharma is the candidate.
There are 18 members from the Maoist Center, 10 members from the UML, eight members from the Unified Socialist Party, and three members from the Janata Samajwadi Party. In this regard, the coalition partners have a strength of 39 members.
On the other hand, the main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, has 16 members.
