Kathmandu, February 22: Representatives of the Mahasamiti of the Nepali Congress handed over a memorandum to NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba today.
Out of 2200 Mahasamiti representatives, 1061 members have signed the memorandum. The memorandum was handed over to Deuba by the coordinator of the campaign for declaring Nepal a Sanatan Hindu Nation, Shankar Bhandari, NC Central Committee member.
According to Lokesh Dhakal, another co-coordinator of the campaign, 42 central members, including former Dr Shanshak Koirala, have signed the memorandum.
