Kathmandu, 4 April: The Indian side has banned the operation of the ferry on the Nepal-India border river Mahakali at Taloswarad of Baitadi. The Indian Border Security Force (SSB) has stopped the operation of the ferry at the Halduvinayak Ghat in Pancheswar Rural Municipality.
Ferry driver Surendra Chand informed that SSB has been obstructing the operation of the ferry at the Halduvinayak Ghat for a year, although ferries are operating smoothly in other ghats.
