Deuba gives four names for ministerial appointment

Kathmandu, 31 March: Although the Nepali Congress has got eight ministries, due to the dispute in the party, its president Sher Bahadur Deuba has given four names only to Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal for appointing ministers in Dahal’s cabinet.
Sources say that Purna Bahadur Khadka will lead the NC team with the portfolio of the deputy prime minister and defence minister. NC spokesman Dr Prakashsharan Mahat will become the finance minister, whereas, Ramesh Rijal will become the minister for foreign affairs and Sita Gurung will become the minister for urban development.
NC president Deuba has kept four seats vacant as Dr Sekhar Koirala camp has demanded “prestigious representation” in the cabinet. This camp is demanding four seats out of eight seats allotted for the Nepali Congress. When Deuba asked to give two names, the Deuba camp denied giving the names.
