Ten parties united on TRC and vote of confidence

Kathmandu, 19 March: Ten political parties in the ruling alliance have decided to vote for the recently presented Truth and Reconciliation Bill and vote of confidence to the government led by Pushpakamal Dahal. 

Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, Unified Socialist Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Nepal Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party, Janamorcha and Aam Janata Party have expressed commitment to vote for TRC and extend confidence for the government. 

Nepali Congress vice president Purna Bahadur Khadka informed that the Truth and Reconciliation Bill is being presented today by the government and the ten parties in the ruling alliance have expressed commitment to endorse the Bill. 

UML chief whip Padam Giri said that the Bill should not be presented in a hurry in Parliament. He said that concerns expressed by the international community and the human rights commission have to be addressed in the bill. 

Meanwhile, the ten parties have expressed commitment to extend a vote of confidence to the government led by PM Dahal. PM Dahal is preparing to face a vote of confidence from Parliament on Monday, 20 March.
