Eight-party meeting kicks off at Baluwatar

Kathmandu, 5 March: A meeting of the eight political parties has begun at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar to discuss forthcoming presidential election

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress’ President Sher Bahadur Deuba, former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and CPN (Unified Socialist) General-Secretary Beduram Bhusal, Janata Samajbadi Party leader Rajendra Shrestha and Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party Chair Mahantha are  attending the meeting.

It may be noted that the ruling coalition has fielded Ram Chandra Poudel as its common candidate for the March 9 presidential election.
