
Kathmandu, 21 February: There will be 881 voters in the presidential election. There are 881 names in the voter list prepared by the Election Commission.
275 members of the House of Representatives, 59 members of the National Assembly and 550 members of the Provincial Assembly will cast their vote in the presidential election. However, Election Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel said that three voters may be less in this presidential election. The commission will make a decision on that and make it public on Wednesday,” said Paudel.
Out of the 275 members of the House of Representatives, Ravi Lamichhane, elected from Chitwan 2, has been dismissed and Tek Bahadur Gurung, elected from Manang, will not be allowed to vote because he has been suspended. The Commission is yet to decide on the issue of one more voter. whose name has not been revealed by the Commission.
However, the Commission has not reached a decision on whether Lakshmi Chaudhary Koiri, a member of the House of Representatives elected from Mahottari-1, will be allowed to vote or not.
