
Kathmandu, 12 February: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party, a partner in the alliance government, has expressed dissatisfaction with announcing a national holiday recalling the “people’s war” day on 13 February launched by the Maoists.
The meeting of the cabinet of ministers held today decided to give a national holiday on 13 February, the day of launching the “people’s war” by the Maoist party.
The Maoist Party had launched a “people’s war” on 1 Falgun (13 February) from which over 17 thousand innocent people lost their lives and a large section of the country’s infrastructure was damaged.
After knowing the Maoist Center’s intention, the RPP ministers didn’t attend the cabinet meeting on Sunday.
