Kathmandu, 28 January: Supporters of Rabi Lamichhane staged a demonstration at the Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu today after the Supreme Court suspended him from being a member of parliament.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against the administration saying that he became the victim of a conspiracy against the honest campaign of nation-building that he had launched.
The Supreme Court on Friday had given the verdict that Lamichhane was unable to become a member of parliament following a dispute on his citizenship issue.
The demonstrators have also protested against the Election Commission and the Supreme Court.
