Maoists’ conclusion about new president: Common personality, consensus among all parties

Kathmandu, 26 January: The main ruling CPN-Maoist Center has concluded that the new presidential candidate should be acceptable to all parties. The party concluded in the standing committee meeting held this afternoon that that a common personality acceptable to all parties should be put forward for the post of president.

Standing committee member Devendra Paudel said that since the presidency is shared, there should be a serious discussion between all  political parties. ‘There is a need for a common person for the protection of the constitution,’ he told reporters after the meeting.
