
Kathmandu, 14 January: The Lumbini provincial government has decided to make the home of former prime minister Tanka Prasad Acharya’s home in Bardaghat, Susta West, Parasi in Nawalparasi to make a museum.
Acharya was the founding chairman of the Nepal Praja Parisha who had become the prime minister of Nepal, was also a freedom fighter who had led the revolution against the Rana rulers.
Acharya’s home, which is over a century-year-old, has almost been demolished.
The Lumbini provincial government has decided to renovate or construct another house similar to the old house and use it as a museum. The provincial government has allotted five million rupees for this purpose.
The historical house of the late Acharya is taken as a pride of the Parasi people.
