Kathmandu, 8 January: As per Article 168 (2) of the constitution of Nepal, Hikmat Kumar Karki, CPN-UML Provincial Assembly Member, has been appointed as the Chief Minister (CM)of Province 1.
Province Chief Parshuram Khapung appointed Karki as the CM this afternoon. Sixty provincial assembly members have supported Karki.
