Kathmandu, 31 December: The 10th national cap day is being observed on Sunday, 1 January, English new year, with the slogan, “Nepali Cap, Nepali Identity”.
After the government under the present loktantra suspended Daura-Surwal and cap and Gunau-Cholee as the Nepali national dress, a group of Nepali identified themselves as Jagaruk Yuwa Abhian decided to observe 1 January as the Nepali cap day demanding re-recognition to the Nepali national dress, which is unique and also the Nepali identity.
