Kathmandu, 1 December: A second round of meeting was held at the Nepali Embassy in London to address the demands of former British Gurkhas. A technical level discussion was held on Wednesday between the representatives of Nepal and UK governments with the participation of former Gorkha representatives, reports Kantipur daily.
Previously, there was a ministerial discussion on November 3, but this time the government employees and Gorkha representatives of both countries discussed in detail. Equal pension as British soldiers for ex-Gurkhas, supplementary pension, one-time payment for the families of the deceased with amputations, welfare work were discussed on the agenda.
