Seat sharing issue becoming a headache for alliance partners

Kathmandu, 29 August: The Sunday meeting of the task force of five parties in the alliance constituted for settling down the seat-sharing issue remained indecisive. 

As the parties in the alliance didn’t step back from their previous claim for the seat, the Sunday meeting concluded without any decision. The meeting concluded with the decision of briefing the supreme leaders of the respective parties about the claim. 

NC has claimed 100 seats, Maoist Center claimed 60 seats, Unified Socialist Party claimed 40 seats, Janata Samajbadi Parti claimed 32 seats and Rastriya Jana Morcha claimed two seats in the 165 seats of the federal parliament. 

Meanwhile, Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal has warned the Nepali Congress said that if the NC will not settle the problem, his party can develop an alliance with the UML.
