Kathmandu, 5 August: Nepal is closely observing the Taiwan issue very closely, stated the Foreign Ministry.
At a press conference organized today at the Foreign Ministry, spokesperson Sewa Lamshal said that Nepal is always committed to the “one-China policy”. “We are closely monitoring the Taiwan issue. Nepal is always committed to the “one-China policy” Nepal and China respect each other country’s sovereignty, independence and geographical indivisibility,” Lamsal said.
She also informed that Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka is paying a visit to China next week. However, the Minister’s visit is not related to the Taiwan issue as the visit was fixed earlier to the recent developments in Taiwan.
