Kathmandu, 25 July : Three Nepali body builders are to take part in the Asia-Pacific Body Building Championship-2019.The championship will take place August 16 to 18 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Nepal Body Building and Fitness Association said three winners of the 12th South Asian Body Building Championship will represent Nepal in the Asia-Pacific championship. The Association has decided to send three players and an official to participate in the championship.
Similarly, nine players from Nepal will compete in the 53rd Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championship-2019 taking place in Hohot City, Inner Mongolia of China. The championship will take place from September 12 to 18.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Babu Shrestha, President of Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association who also heads the South Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has announce cash prize to medal winning players. President Shrestha has announced to award with cash prize of Rs. 50,000 each to gold, Rs 30,000 each to the silver and Rs 20,000 to each bronze medal winners on his personal behalf.
In a recently concluded championship 16 Nepali players had won medals for Nepal raising the national flag with pride in international arena of sports. In the tournament Nepal bagged 3 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals.
