He is Sharda Prasad Adhikari. He is a special man for Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Adhikari has given Dahal money and house to live in because he is one of the corrupt and cheat contratcors of Nepal. He owns Sailung Constrcution Company Private Limited. In the capacity of the chair of the company, he wins a number of bids for project constrcution, because he has Dahal in his home. He had contracted to repair all the valley roads which are now notorious for emanating dust and mud. He won the bid to build the road to Nagarkot and Kalanki-Nagdhunga road. These two are now in the worst condition.
Sharada Prasad wins the contrat but he sells them at cheaper rate and makes profit without working.Many people do not know contracts of which projects was won by Adhikari, because no where his name is metioned as the contratcor of the project.
This corrupt man makes pretends for the delay and receives compensation for the project which he never builds. And the compensation amount is normally in billions.
Until 2008, Adhikari was a normal man. He was even unable to manage two meals a day.
But when the Maoists joined the mainstream politics in 2006 after causing deaths of 17,000 Nepalis, Adhikari became close to Dahal. Since then he started amassing fortunate and now became a billionaire.
Though he took no business, neither he worked in any office, but now he owns several buildings and land in Kathmandu.
He has such a big amount of money that nobody can guess, neither any investigation institute. He has also managed property for his close relatives and others. Other contrators, who are loyal to him are also looting the country. And Pushpa Kamal Dahal had given political protetion to him while providing Adhikari the projects.
Two years ago, the Commisison for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had begun investoigation into his Sailung Constrcution Company, but the investgation did not move ahead due to intereference from Dahal. Because of the CIAA move to investigate into Adhikari, Dahal and Prime Minister KP Oli decided overnight to bring the anti-graft body and other organisations under prime minister, only to give protection to the corrupt contrators and employees. As a result, the CIAA and other bodies now cannot investigate into the corrupt leaders, contractors and employees close to ruling Communist Party of Nepal. Sharad Adhikari’s case showed how the leaders inNepal throw their weight for corrupts.
